In Your strength I am able to stand

My every step cannot be guaranteed
It is only through You that I am able to stand

Without You I am so open
To end up on my knees

To give in to temptation when sent my way

How I wish I never did anything wrong
How I wish I never hurt you the way that I do
How I wish I could be trusted in all
How I wish I never had to disappoint You

But then I remember Lord Jesus
You came and died for my every sin
The ones of my past, the present
And those who may come

How I wish I could do everything right
How I wish pride and lies never existed
How I wish my every thought pleased You
How I wish my every deed served You

I cannot be trusted without You dear Lord
I cannot
My flesh and its desires just burn so high
How I fall when I do not follow Your Word

Your armor is there for us to stand strong
Your armor is there for us to stand against the enemy’s attacks
Your Word is a lamp unto my feet
Your Word is a light unto my path

Your Word is alive
It cuts like a knife
Every thought, every deed, every lie
Let it cut me free

Free from addiction
Free for having things my way
Free from sin
Free from every evil deed

You see through the toughest me
You see what no one else can see
With You even darkness is light
From You not a single thing can hide

Reveal our hearts dear Jesus
Let us see what You see
Open our eyes, let us hear
Your face, Your words

Let us be changed for the better
Help us to commit our lives
Make us see the beauty of Your heart
Help this world to know the one and only True King.
